Terms & Conditions
The following terms of service define the relationship between Pikabase PLT (”Pikabase”, “we”, “us”, “our”), and you (“your”, “user”, “users”, “teacher”, “teachers”, ”parent”, ”parents”, “principal”, “organization administrator”) , and govern your use of Pikabase mobile applications (“app”, “apps”) and services (including relevant web-based applications and back-end services) that we provide now or in the future.
Use of the Services and Apps
By downloading and using the mobile apps, or by signing up the services in an app or website, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using them.
You’re not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You’re not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn’t try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions.
The app itself, and all the trademarks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to Pikabase PLT or the relevant third party service providers that we subscribe to.
Pikabase PLT is committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. Your app may possibly cease functionality, or partial of its functionality, if you do not update the app to the latest version regularly.
You have to be over the age of 13 to use the services and app, as the app is developed and targeted to be used by principals and teachers of tuition centers or any forms of learning school (collectively, the “School”), and also by the parents and legal guardians of respective schools. If you are the parent or legal guardian of a minor who want to use and access the services or the app on your behalf, you must accept and comply with these Terms of Use on the minor’s behalf and you will be responsible for all the minor’s actions, any charges associated with the minor’s use of the platform and/or services or purchases made on the platform.
With respect to Pikabase PLT’s responsibility for your use of the app, when you’re using the app, it’s important to bear in mind that although we endeavor to ensure that it is updated and correct at all times, we do rely on third parties to provide information to us so that we can make it available to you. Pikabase PLT accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app.
Third Party Charges
Internet Access: Pikabase PLT cannot take responsibility for the apps or services not working or not available to you if you do not have internet access like mobile data or Wi-Fi, or you do not have any of your data allowance left. If you’re using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, you should remember that your terms of the agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, you may be charged by your mobile provider for the cost of data for the connection while accessing the services, or other third party charges. By using the app, you’re accepting responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the app outside of your home territory (i.e. region or country) without turning off data roaming.
Phone Call and Short Message Services (SMS): The apps may provide similar phone book services to let users contact school, teachers or parents (other users) if these users decide to expose contact information within the app. If users use these functions to trigger the built in device functions like phone calls or SMS services, charges may be applied by their respective telecommunication service providers.
User submission, contents and activities
All user information or personal data, such as but not limited to images, photographs, graphics, documents, data, text, music, sound, videos, messages, and other digital contents (collectively “contents”), either posted publicly or transmitted privately to another user is the responsible and the exclusive works of the original content creator otherwise stated. If you do not own the intellectual property right or copyright of the contents, you should ensure you have obtained permission from the copyright owner before performing actions like posting and transmitting to others via the service. Pikabase PLT shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, in any way for the user misuse of the services or misconduct for (not limited to) copyright, proprietary right, intellectual property right, privacy right or contractual right infringement.
You should not use the service to violate a person’s right to privacy or publicity or otherwise collect, use or disclose data, including personal information, about other users without their consent or for unlawful purposes or in violation of law.
You shall not bully, intimidate or harass any user or use the service in a manner that is harmful, abusive or violent to a person or entity.
You shall not upload, post, transmit, email or in any form of manners distributing content that is discriminating, hate speech, threatening, pornographic or obscene, contains nudity or violent graphics.
You should not use the service in any manner that is harmful to minors. Without limited the foregoing, you should not not transmit or post any contents that violate child pornography law or that otherwise violates any child sexual exploitation laws. Pikabase absolutely does not tolerate this and will report any suspected instances of child pornography, including reporting any of your user registration information, to law enforcement and authority.
You should not use the services to do any unlawful, illegal, unethical, malicious or discriminatory activities.
Pikabase stores and processes user contents and personal data that you have provided to us, for the purpose of providing our services to you. We may access user contents for the purpose of troubleshooting, service maintenance, and legal requirements only.
We deserve the right but not obligated to
- Monitor, screen or remove inappropriate user contents, materials on the platform or through the services. We may in our sole and absolute discretion, investigate any violation of these Terms of Use contained herein and may take any action it deems appropriate
- Restrict access of any an authorized user to the platform and/or the services
- Request information and data from you in relation with your usage of services, accessing the platforms and services at any time to exercise our right to investigate the violation of terms. If we found sufficient reason to suspect activities to be in violation of any applicable law, statute or regulation, we reserved the right to report to appropriate authority and to co-operate with such authority.
Registration and Security
You should not share your account login information with others, nor use another person’s login to perform activities in our services. As a registered user, you should be responsible for the activities that perform from your own devices or with your own user account. If there is suspicious activity found not originated from you, you should change your credential access password immediately to prevent further damages or unforeseen consequences.
It’s your responsibility to keep your devices like mobile phones and tablets and any method of access to the apps or services secure. We therefore recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. It could make your phone vulnerable to malware/viruses/malicious programs, and compromise your phone’s security features.
Any violation of the above may be grounds for termination of your right to access or use the service.
Retention of Data
Pikabase PLT will keep user contents for at least 30 days from the expiry date of last active subscription, in case the user wants to resume and continue the service after the subscription ends. If a user does not resubscribe within the stated period on the same or higher tier of plan, user data may be removed permanently and may not be retrieved back, even if users decide to resubscribe back later. However, If a user has made a final decision not to continue the services, the user may remove all the data manually prior to expiration of subscription, so the data will no longer exist and no longer be retrievable.
If a school decides to stop the subscription, all the data relevant to that school will only be available and be accessible by connected users (teachers and parents) for a certain period of time as mentioned above, and will be removed permanently if the school decides not to renew the subscription furthermore.
Archived Data/information: The apps and services may provide functionality where subscribers can archive information of inactive students, in case the students stop school enrollment temporarily due to certain reasons. All archived data and information are available as long as the subscriber continues the subscription, and the retention period of archived data/information is the same as other information if the subscriber decides to stop subscription.
WARRANTY DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Disclaimer of Warranty
The services, platforms, apps and any associated products, features, contents, third-party services, applications and contents and any other remaining offerings by PIKABASE PLT, are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties, claims or representations made by us of any kind, either express, implied or statutory.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, PIKABASE PLT expressly disclaims all warranties or presentations of any kind, express, implied or statutory, regarding PIAKBASE offerings, including, without limitation, any implied warranty of quality, accuracy, performance, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title or non-infringement.
We make no representation or warranty that our services or offerings
- Will meet your requirements or expectations, or be your liking
- Will be timely, secure and accurate, free from errors or loss or uninterrupted, or the services are free from virus or other harmful components
- Uploaded and stored contents will be safe and secure from unforeseen incidents such as but not limited to computer virus, malwares, hacker’s attack, storage media corruptions, failure of systems and services
- Any defects or errors will be corrected, or some features have not been tested and performed in expected manners
Any content or materials downloaded from the services is done at the user’s own discretion and risk, the user shall be solely responsible for any damage to their computer system or loss of data that results from accessing, downloading and using such materials.
No advice or information, whether oral or written by the user of Pikabase, shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these terms and conditions of use.
Limitation of Liability
Pikabase PLT shall not liable to you for any losses, damages, lost of profits, revenues, information or data whatever or however, in any kind caused (regardless of the form of action) arising directly or indirectly in connection with, but not limited to
- Any usage, access or inability to use the platform or services
- Reliance on data or information available from the services. You should not act on such data or information without first independently verifying its contents
- Dependence on data or information, such as disruption of business operation caused by the unavailability of services
- Any system, connection or server failure, delay in transaction, computer virus, malware, malicious programs by using the services
You shall use and treat the provided services as “as is” and “as available”, and reserve the right to terminate the service by canceling the subscription if you are not satisfied with the quality level of the provided service.
Deprecation Policy
Pikabase PLT reserves the right to retire or cease the functionality of entire or selected features and services due to reasons such as but not limited to security concerns, copyright or intellectual property disputes, and financial or technical consideration. In the event where the ceased features is the main purpose and reason of user enrolment of the services, the user may cancel the subscription, and may request for refund of the subscription fee for the remaining period of subscription, if the date of cancellation request falls within the first quarter of the current active subscription period.
Termination of Services
Pikabase PLT reserves the right at any time, and from time to time, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the apps or the services (such as websites, web services, mobile services), or any part thereof, with or without notice. You agree that Pikabase PLT will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the services, or any part thereof.
Third Party Binaries, Source Code and Services
The app does use and depend on third party binaries, source code and services that declare their own Terms and Conditions.

At some point, we may wish to update the app. The app is currently available on Android & iOS – the requirements for both systems (and for any additional systems we decide to extend the availability of the app to) may change, and you’ll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Pikabase PLT does not promise that it will always update the app so that it is relevant to you and/or works with the Android & iOS version that you have installed on your device. However, you promise to always accept updates to the application when offered to you, We may also wish to stop providing the app, and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to you. Unless we tell you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must stop using the app, and (if needed) delete it from your device.
Changes to This Terms and Conditions
We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.
